Terms of Use
Updated October 30, 2026
Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the EveryCity Church website and member site (together, the "Site"). "We," "us," and "our" refer to EveryCity Church, and "you" refers to anyone who uses the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Accounts
You do not need an account to view public pages or attend a Sunday gathering. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, use only your own account, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or disable an account at our discretion, including one we reasonably believe violates these Terms or puts any person at risk.
Minors
The Site is not directed to children. A minor may create an account or submit a form only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Verification and house churches
A member of our team must verify you before you can sign up for a house church. We may grant or decline verification at our discretion. Verification does not guarantee a place at any gathering, and hosts and administrators may decline a signup.
Home addresses are confidential. Verification alone does not give you an address. We disclose a home's exact address only to its host, church administrators, and people whose signup is approved. You agree not to disclose that address to anyone else or bring anyone who is not included in your signup.
Church membership is separate from verification. The membership application opens only when the church gives you access, and we may approve or decline an application at our discretion.
User content
"User Content" means anything you submit through the Site, including discussion messages, prayer requests, and notes to hosts. You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the right to share it. You retain ownership of it and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the Site and show it to its intended audience.
We may, but are not obligated to, review, hide, or remove User Content. Participants may report discussion messages, hosts and administrators may hide them, and prayer requests shared with the whole church are reviewed before others can see them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to post anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, or hateful; share another person's private information without permission; impersonate anyone; use member information, including the member directory, for solicitation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its data; or interfere with the operation of the Site.
Church content
Sermons, study guides, devotionals, photographs, and other material on the Site are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to view them, download study guides, and share links for personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved. Please obtain our permission before republishing or selling any of it.
Giving
Online gifts are processed by Zeffy, a third party, under its own terms. You enter your payment details directly with Zeffy, and the Site does not collect or store them. Zeffy issues your receipt. Contact us with any question about a gift.
Third-party services
The Site includes content and tools from third parties, including Google Maps, OpenFreeMap, YouTube, Spotify, and Zeffy. We do not control and are not responsible for those services, and their own terms apply when you use them.
Emergencies
The Site, its contact forms, and prayer requests are not monitored around the clock and are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free or that gathering details will remain current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EveryCity Church and its pastors, staff, volunteers, and hosts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site.
Changes and general terms
We may amend these Terms at any time. The date above shows the latest version, and your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of it. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
