Accessibility

Our goal

We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is our goal, not a claim that every page meets it today.

What we do

• A skip link takes keyboard users straight to the main content.
• Pages and dialogs fade instead of sliding or zooming when your device asks for reduced motion.
• You can type your name instead of drawing your signature on the membership application.
• Automated WCAG 2.1 A and AA checks run on key pages, including the home, contact, sign-in, and member pages. Automated checks catch only some problems.

Known limits

• The giving form, videos, audio, and maps come from Zeffy, YouTube, Spotify, Google Maps, and OpenFreeMap. We cannot change how they work.
• Maps are visual. The Gatherings page also lists gatherings as text.
• Captions and transcripts may be missing or inaccurate on some recordings.
• Downloadable study guides may not work well with every screen reader.
