Robby Abraham

I grew up in a family of four, in the Chicagoland area, being raised by my parents, aunt and uncles who came from India. It was always a struggle trying to figure out how to fit in growing up. One area of life that was always comforting to me was meeting up with ‘church folk’ on the weekends and the cultural community it provided. Even though I did not become a follower of Jesus until my mid 20s, there was always something about doing church in community that drew me back to the church. I was eventually invited to a Bible Study that changed the course of my life forever. During that time I started reading the Bible on my own, and when I came across the verse: “Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did” (1 John 2:6) was the moment I surrendered my life to Jesus, albeit imperfectly, over the past 25 years. I have been married to Sanu Abraham for over 20+ years and we have 3 children in the Dallas area. Sanu and I are privileged to be serving in the premarital ministry at our home church in the hopes that we can point people to Jesus and share our mistakes and missteps knowing that our hope is in God who keeps us together.

My hope for Every City Church is that people would come to know Jesus through community and that homes are the entry way for all to know the love of a God who loves them.
